Born and raised in Northern Alberta , Clayton Bellamy brings farm boy muscle to his music When he wasn't racing motocross, he was hurtling across the prairie in a pick-up searching for trouble and some sort of truth in the honky tonks of western Canada. Inspired by the likes of Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, and Steve Earle, Bellamy’s songs evoke the imagery of hard working people with big dreams, and endless highways to broken hearts. He found fame as a member of one of Canada's biggest bands “The Road Hammers”, but his time has come to stake his claim as the next great blue collar songsmith. A four time Canadian Country Music Award Winner, SOCAN Songwriter of the year ,and JUNO Award winner, this high energy singer songwriter is not to be overlooked. His music provokes and inspires, always stirring emotion, which is just what Clayton feels music should do. "I want my songs to lift you up, and give you something to believe in. For me it's all about the story... I want to hear Free Falling or Born in the U.S.A... that's saying something, and it resonates with people. That's what makes great music, that's what I want to be a part of." |
